Amnesty International: Amnesty International is a worldwide campaigning movement that works to promote all the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international standards.

Be the Change: Upstanders for Human Rights:  Developed by Facing History, Facing Ourselves for students ages 13-18.  The site profiles the stories, influences and motivations of five Reebok Human Rights Award winners.

Derechos Human Rights: The first internet-based human rights organization. Its purpose is to work for the promotion and respect of human rights all over the world, for the right to privacy and against impunity for human rights violators.

Echoing Green: Provides a toolbox of resources for young people who are actively involved in social change work and organization building.

Educators for Social Responsibility: ESR’s mission is to make teaching social responsibility a core practice in education so that young people develop the convictions and skills needed to shape a safe, sustainable, democratic, and just world. Since 1982, they have worked to advance teaching for social responsibility in the schooling and upbringing of children.

Free the Children: Founded by Craig Keilburger in 1995, when he was 12. It has chapters of young people in the US, Canada and around the world. Their goal is to free children from oppressive working conditions.

Global Engagement Summit: A conference that builds the capacity of the next generation of global change leaders to cross-borders and partner with new communities to produce responsible, sustainable solutions to shared global programs.

Global Fund for Children: An organization that works to advance the dignity of children and youth around the world.

Global Youth Action Network: An international collaboration among youth and youth-serving organizations to share information, resources and solutions. Its purpose is to promote greater youth engagement.

Human Rights Watch: Human Rights Watch is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world.

International Committee of the Red Cross: An impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance.

International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights: A non-governmental, non-profit organization that seeks to promote compliance of the participating states with the human rights provisions of the Helsinki Final Act and its follow-up documents as well as reference to international law.

Mawi Speaks: An organization that supports the Mawi Asgedom, an author, public speaker and nationally recognized youth educator. Mawi is the founder of Mental Karate, a training organization that challenges youth to create their own inspiring journeys.

Physicians for Human Rights: An organization of health professionals, scientists and concerned citizens that uses the knowledge and skills of the medical and forensic sciences to prevent violations of international human rights and humanitarian law.

Polaris Project Action: Founded in 2002, Polaris Project is a leading non-profit organization combating human trafficking and modern-day slavery. They work with victims of all forms of human trafficking, including sex trafficking and labor trafficking, U.S. citizens and foreign nationals, men and women, and adults and children.

Public Allies: Builds the capacity of youth community leaders, providing leadership training, community organizing, etc., in cities across the United States.

Stand for Children: They try to influence policy that affect children in this country at local, state and national levels.

Stop Child Poverty: They work to raise awareness of child poverty worldwide, and to help everyday world citizens make a difference in the lives of children in need.

Street Law, Inc.: A nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people through law-related education.

University of Minnesota Human Rights Center: One of the world’s largest and most comprehensive resources for materials on human rights and human rights education.

Youth for Environmental Sanity: A non-profit organization that educates, inspires and empowers young people to join forces for social justice and environmental sanity.

Youth Venture: An organization that provides resources to young people working to create change in their own communities.
